Truck or Treat is back for 2019 and thanks to the AMAZING turn out we had last year, we learned lots about what to do to make this year’s event safer, easier to navigate, and even more fun than last year! The event has grown and will take place around the north bank of Lake Mirror and adjacent Fire Station 1. Maps with details will be posted soon, so be sure to check back. Lots of thought and planning is being put into this year’s event to ensure a better experience.

Truck or Treat is a free and fun halloween-themed family event hosted by the City of Lakeland, FL – Government public safety agencies: Lakeland Fire Department and LakelandPD.

Kids attending in costume is encouraged! Visitors will get to meet Lakeland firefighters and police officers, trick or treat at different fire apparatus and police vehicles, and learn lots about how to stay healthy and safe at different stops along Lake Mirror and adjacent Fire Station 1. There will be 14+ stops for children to collect candy, Halloween goodies, and safety giveaways.

There will be fun activities like a parade of costumes, a costume contest, prizes for first responder costumes, spooky dance-alongs, and much more; so be sure to join LFD and LPD October 28 for a fun night of learning how to have a safe trick-or-treating experience on Halloween night.

The event is open to everyone but is targeted to children ages 12 and under.
